More transparency for customers – Pidoco organizes projects with Planio
Pidoco GmbH stands for creative services in the design and implementation of software and web solutions. Customer projects usually begin with a presentation on the features of an application. However, first ideas must be specified, visualized and finally tested.
For this purpose, Pidoco has designed its own GUI design software that was received with great interest by clients, such as media agencies or software companies. Prototypes are quickly and easily created online and the usability is tested via clickable wireframes – without prior installation. Through features like intuitive drag and drop prototyping, collaborative work and a variety of review processes, the ideas consistently mature to the actual realization.
Planio – a project management tool that supports growth
During the realization of customer projects, the founders of Pidoco looked for a tool that ensures a smooth project management on the Internet and offers a flexible range of features at the same time. Planio’s software-as-a-service solution convinced them – not least due to the individual configurability of the platform. Planio seamlessly replaced the previous project management tool that was based on Redmine.

The use of wikis on Planio marked the starting point for Pidoco. By connecting to Pidoco, pictures of prototypes can now be integrated and discussed here. A ticket system and the integration of a version control system ensure that projects are always handled and processed correctly. Gantt charts clearly present the project progress.
Transparency – a cornerstone for successful project management
A good coordination of the project partners is an important prerequisite for Pidoco to ensure a close co-operation with external employees and customers. Planio solves this problem with a clever role system. For each function within the project, appropriate rights can be created and assigned.

Pidoco as a Planio App
Only a short time after the first business contact of the two companies, it became clear that the combination of Pidoco and Planio will pose a significant added value for customers. Subsequently, Pidoco was finally integrated via the Pidoco API as an app in Planio. Joint customers can see changes to the Pidoco prototypes as they appear on the Planio platform. In Planio wiki, preview images of prototypes can be linked, displayed, and discussed. The resulting tasks can then be assigned to the responsible employees directly.
