Connecting knowledge
If all participants document their knowledge in the wiki, ivory towers in the company can be avoided and knowledge islands may be effectively connected.
Fig. 1: Store knowledge in the Wiki
In the wiki, ideas can be collaboratively developed and documented. Any participant can write and modify text, format it and create subpages. Changes can be tracked and made undone if necessary. Any kind of knowledge can be shared and extended in a controlled way - be it organizational data, process instructions or minutes of a meeting.
The central storage of knowledge helps new project participants to quickly familiarize themselves with the project and ensure that the knowledge of leaving project participants is preserved for the future.
