Delegate tasks and document progress

Single tasks can be assigned to individuals and connected to milestones. This way, phases are clearly defined and the project status can be easily tracked against the roadmap.

Well defined roles and accordingly assigned tasks are critical to ensure a smooth work flow. Planio's sophisticated role-based access control allows you to assign permissions to an individual user based on their function within the team. The task assignment system allows tasks to be defined, prioritized and assigned to the appropriate team member. Task assignments are communicated by e-mail and this new assignment will be allocated to their personal online list of open tasks.

Estimated time allocations can be applied to tasks and later compared to the actual time tracked utilizing the available time tracking feature. The current status of a work package can be indicated by providing a progress percentage or a text comment. Once the task is finished, it can be handed over to another participant if the work flow prescribes it.

All tasks can be assigned with delivery dates and milestones. Gantt charts can be automatically generated providing the visualization of dependencies and schedules for the project. Important dates also appear in the integrated calendar. On the roadmap, the status of all tasks is accumulated enabling the overall status of a project to be captured at a glance.
