xscio AG makes knowledge available – with Planio as project management tool
There often is no lack of knowledge – but of its proper use. This is where xscio AG comes into play to offer the development and optimization of online applications for knowledge management. The result: Companies always have the information right where it is needed.
For this purpose, xscio AG developed base components for the acquisition, maintenance and collection of optimally configurable data – depending on the case of application. Collected knowledge, for example from collaborative wikis, will comprehensively be made usable through thesaurus-based search engines and can be found without expert vocabulary. Search results can be integrated directly into your business processes. By this, the creation of marketing material is automated and can be rationalized using project reports.
Collaborative work on projects made easy
When realizing development projects for customers, xscio AG utilizes external programmers – which however increases coordination efforts. The online project management tool of Planio shows one of its strengths here. Specifications and software descriptions of projects are shared with all employees via wikis. A news and forum system facilitates communication. After establishing the project delimiters, the actual programming work commences. Using the integrated version control Subversion (SVN), current files can be recognized as such. The physical separation of project partners is therefore not a disadvantage any longer.

Planio apps offer additional features
With new apps, new features are added for Planio customers. xscio AG employs several of these add-on components. With the Pidoco app, clickable wireframes can be generated and integrated into Planio. These prototypes can be used for e.g. planning, testing, and presentation purposes.
The exception notifier facilitates the maintenance of Ruby on Rails software projects. System errors are automatically reported to the responsible employees through this app and displayed in Planio with detailed descriptions. The errors can then be transformed directly into new tasks and assigned to employees. Therefore, a quick response and the creation of clear responsibilities are guaranteed.
