Make your postal mail go paperless with Dropscan and Planio
Today, I am happy to announce our partnership and integration with Dropscan, an awesome company that's also located here in Berlin and who are good friends of ours.
Dropscan essentially scans all your incoming postal mail (only addresses in Germany supported at the moment) and sends you searchable PDF files. Afterwards, you can decide if your mail gets archived, forwarded, or shredded.
We've been using Dropscan for some time now here at Planio and have always thought how awesome it would be if scanned mail wouldn't arrive as email but as issues in Planio. This way, we could finally integrate all customer communication: issues, phone notes, emails (via the CRM drop box), and postal mail.
Configuration is super-easy and can be done within Dropscan:
From now on, you will receive your mail scanned in Planio. This allows you to do fancy things of course, like attaching Planio workflows to postal mail: For instance, whenever an invoice comes in, someone needs to check it, pay it, and then archive it for accounting. With Dropscan, the incoming mail piece can now trigger this process and your mail handling is finally completely digital and all in one place — Planio!
