Selecting and Editing Trackers

Planio Trackers provide a great way to organize and keep track of your issues. You can think of trackers as issue types, global issue categories, or maybe just a neat way to separate your bugs from your tasks. In short, they bring order to your project… without them you’d have issue chaos, which invariably leads to chaos issues.

Selecting and Editing a Tracker
Assigning a tracker to a new issue is pretty straightforward. In the Tracker field, just select the most appropriate option from the drop-down list:

If you decide to change an issue’s tracker at a later time, just do the following:

  1. Browse to your issue via the Issues tab on the Top Menu Toolbar.
  2. Click Update.
  3. Click More (adjacent to “Change properties”).
  4. In the Tracker field, modify your tracker option.
  5. Click Submit.

That’s it, easy peasy!

Are you a minimalist (handful of core trackers) or a hoarder (tons of trackers for every situation)? Tell us about how you use trackers in your Planio projects with a Comment below!
